Tokyo, Japan, August 4, 2022 – Honda and Red Bull announced to continue cooperation in the technical field where Honda through Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) decided to supply racing engines (power units) to Red Bull until the end of 2025.
HRC began its role as a provider of racing engines (power units) named Red Bull Powertrains (RBPT) for the Red Bull Racing team as well as Scuderia AlphaTauri in this 2022 Formula 1 racing season.
Until the first half of the 2022 F1 season, the Red Bull Racing team managed to top the constructors' standings with 431 points and the best performance was to win 9 wins from 13 race series.
Meanwhile also in the drivers' standings, 2021 F1 world champion – Max Verstappen also leads the standings until this half of the 2022 F1 season with 258 points and the best performance of 8 wins so far.
Honda itself actually officially ended its participation in Formula 1 racing at the end of 2021 and is committed to allocating its resources to achieve the company's goal of producing carbon-free vehicles in the future.
Honda then appointed HRC to continue Honda's role in Formula 1 racing to supply its racing engines to the Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri teams.

Christian Horner, Red Bull Powertrains CEO and Team Principal said “the partnership between Red Bull and Honda has been successful and we are very happy to be able to continue this partnership until the end of 2025.”
