The 2023 Formula E electric car race schedule has been announced. The ninth racing season is planned to be held for the first time in Mexico City, Mexico, on January 14, 2023. With the holding of Formula E 2023, of course you ask whether Indonesia will be the host again?
The answer is yes. Indonesia will be the host where the location of the implementation will take place in Jakarta on the upcoming 3 - 4 June 2023. As for the exact location, whether it will remain in Ancol, aka the Jakarta International e-Prix Circuit, or elsewhere, has not yet been determined.
There are New Cities and Countries
It should be noted that the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) stated that the ninth Formula E racing season will present 17 series. Next year's premier race will take place in Mexico on January 14, while the series ends with two races in London July 29-30 2023.
Still according to the FIA, there are three new cities joining the race, namely Cape Town, South Africa, then Hyderabad, India, and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
"We are very pleased to announce Cape Town as the new destination for our series in Season 9. Our local partners are working very hard to bring the Formula E world championship to the city," said Co-Founder and Chief Championship Officer, Alberto Longo.
In next year's racing season there will also be double header races, namely in Diriyah Saudi Arabia, Berlin-Germany, Jakarta-Indonesia, Rome-Italy, and London-England. Even so, there is a country that is currently not participating, namely Seoul, South Korea, because it is currently carrying out renovations.
