G7 member countries held an emergency meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Bali, Wednesday, 16 November 2022, following a missile incident in Polish territory near the border with Ukraine.

The meeting, which was also attended by two leaders of other countries, namely Spain and the Netherlands, was held before the G20 heads of state were scheduled to plant mangroves in the Ngurah Rai People's Forest Park, Bali.
Due to the G7 meeting, the mangrove planting agenda which was originally scheduled for 09.00 WITA was postponed and monitored until just before 10.00 WITA President Joko Widodo was still welcoming the presence of the G20 heads of state at the location.
Previously it was reported that Poland said that a Russian-made rocket had crashed into a village close to the Ukrainian border on Tuesday, November 15, and killed two people.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said that so far Poland has no conclusive evidence showing who fired the missile that caused the explosion at the grain drying facility.
"We decided to increase the combat readiness of selected units of the Polish armed forces, with particular emphasis on airspace," he said.
On the other hand, the Russian Defense Ministry denied that Russian missiles hit Polish territory and described the report as a deliberate provocation aimed at heating up the situation.
