A high quality ergonomic gaming chair is one of the best investments you can make for your health as an avid gamer. All of these chairs are more than just comfortable seats, although you might find them much more comfortable than anything you're sitting in right now, but are designed to support your body's natural posture, increase blood flow, and prevent those aches and pains. Apart from that, aimed at gamers, most of them have a few extra features that you will love.
There are plenty of chairs out there aimed at gamers, but not all of them are really designed for gamers. Before you finish off any chair your favorite streamer uses, take a look at our list of the best ergonomic gaming chairs.
GTRacing
If you don't need an additional built-in Bluetooth speaker and just want a high-quality and very well-reviewed seat, the standard Gtracing GT000 is an easy entry point. Cutting out the extras, it comes at a much more affordable price if you're on a budget.
There's not really much difference between the two, so we won't dwell too much on it, but all the features you get with the other models are here too. You get adjustable cushioning, equal backrest angle, armrests, Pu leather and a delightfully soft cushion. For the price, this is one of the best options out there for an ergonomic chair, gamer focused or not.
Nokaxus (YK-6008)
Nokaxus has a pretty impressive lineup of gaming chairs, which we'll look at more about later, but we have to take the lead with the YK-6008 series model. At first glance it looks similar to Dowinx, but has some unique features. It's made with a high-bouncing sponge that will cradle your body and intelligently distribute your weight, plus it has all the essential lower back and neck support. But, and this is where the YK-6008 combines things from Dowinx, the waist pillow is also equipped with a special massage function. Some people may find it annoying and don't want to use it, but it's a cool option to have.
For customization, this one allows you to modify it any way you want. The arms can be raised and lowered, the height is adjustable, the back is tilted, and it has an extendable footrest. It's a lot cheaper than the Dowinx too, but one area you might see the cost is in the overall durability of the material. It's just not that strong, but that doesn't mean it can't provide great support over the years if you're not too rough with it.
Hbada Racing Style
This chair can accommodate almost anyone, can hold up to 300 pounds and is of the normal height and armrest adjustment you want. The lumbar and neck pillow is also adjustable, or directly removable, and has an optional footrest version if you like kicking your feet. You can lie down to 150 degrees here, but nowhere else.
These chairs are as basic as they come. Faux leather is pretty good, and should hold up well, and high-density cushioning is good but not the most comfortable option. In terms of ergonomics, the back will get the job done better than a standard chair. If this is your only option, you could do worse for yourself than Hbada.
AKRacing Masters Series Max
People come in all shapes and sizes, so while one chair may suit above “average” sized people, it may not be great for taller and larger people. The AKRacing Master Series Max is designed for all the gamers out there who stand tall and over 6 feet and weigh up to 400 pounds. The large bottom pad measures 23 inches deep and 20 inches wide, giving your waist plenty of room without feeling cramped or pinched. These pads use cold-cured foam on the sturdier side to hold up better over time.
The arms are nice too. The rubber pads are not only nice and soft, they are also fully adjustable in any direction. Up, down, in, out, back and forward, you can set it exactly where it's most convenient for you. You have normal pivot and tilt functions as well as the ability to lock in your favorite angle, with the backrest reclining 170 degrees. The only downside here is that, like most items catering to a smaller market, you have to pay a bit more for it. Even so, the people this chair goes to are the ones who need the most appropriate clothing to prevent injury.
