Toyota presents the New Corolla Cross GR Sport as a new member of the GAZOO Racing (GR) line-up in Indonesia, which is now equipped with Hybrid EV electrification technology. The arrival of the first GR model with electrification technology completes the choice of models to meet the needs of GR fans who crave a sporty SUV that is more fun to drive with the motorsport DNA of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR), combined with the benefits of Hybrid EV technology which offers extra power, fuel efficiency, and more environmentally friendly.

Currently, the choice of the Toyota Corolla Cross model is the Corolla Cross Hybrid EV (1.8 HEV) as an existing model, plus the first GAZOO Racing line-up in Indonesia with the New Corolla Cross Hybrid EV GR Sport (1.8 HEV GR Sport) as a hybrid engine. new model.

The GR Performance Upgrade is applied by installing the GR-S Suspension, consisting of a GR-S MacPherson Strut at the front and a GR-S Torsion Beam at the rear. This fundamental overhaul of the suspension system makes it more rigid and minimizes body roll to maintain more capable maneuverability.
The GR-S Tunnel Brace, combined with the larger Electronic Power Steering (EPS), helps increase the rigidity of the rugged SUV chassis while providing more direct steering response and more stable handling at the direction of the driver. This Sporty Hybrid EV uses a 2ZR-FXE 1,798 cc 4-cylinder DOHC hybrid engine with VVT-i technology that produces 98 PS at 5,200 rpm and 14.5 Kgm of torque at 3,600 rpm. The electric motor is capable of producing 72 PS of power and 16.6 Kgm of torque. The combination of both power is channeled to the front wheels via a smooth and responsive CVT transmission.
