Honda Civic Type R and Honda Civic e: HEV won the "Best Car Design" award for the car category (four-wheeled vehicles) from the 2023 Red Dot Design Award on April 3, 2023. In total, Honda won four awards from the Red Dot event. This year's Design Award where Honda has won this award for four consecutive years since 2020.
The Red Dot Awards began in 1955 and have become one of the world's most prestigious annual design awards. The award was organized by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany.
This event gives awards for the best product design and innovation which are divided into a total of 51 categories. Each of these categories is assessed based on nine criteria, including the level of innovation, functionality, durability and ergonomics.
At the end of March 2023, Honda Indonesia launched the All New Honda Civic Type R with an aggressive design and the engine with the greatest power. The All New Honda Civic Type R is the fastest Civic model ever made by Honda.
The latest generation of the All New Honda Civic Type R was first launched in Japan in September 2022 and was immediately greeted with enthusiasm by fans around the world.
The design of the All New Honda Civic Type R was developed with the Ultimate SPORT 2.0 concept which pursues the performance of a racing car and a pleasant driving experience.

In this event, other Honda products from motorcycles (two-wheeled vehicles), namely; Honda XL750 Transalp and Honda CB750 Hornet also won this prestigious award.
