Mitsubishi Releases Real-Time Cinematic Configurator for Outlander


Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc (MMNA) has announced the extension of its partnership with ZeroLight, a 3D product visualization platform.

This time, the collaboration delivers the industry's first real-time cinematic configurator for the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid EV (PHEV).

With this new visualization platform, customers can configure their ideal Outlander PHEV on-the-go as the vehicle traverses photorealistic mountain trails, change exterior colors and trim levels, and add or remove accessories.

This digital experience is streamed in real-time from the cloud, ensuring that the platform is universally accessible and works consistently on any device.

During the first phase of the MMNA-ZeroLight partnership for Outlander 2022 which will be launched last year, the interactive real-time 3D experience allows customers to explore Outlander in five stunning virtual environments.

Mitsubishi credits the success of this strategy, with order requests exceeding expectations even within the first 24 hours of launch.

For the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander, this partnership continues into a second phase, allowing customers to experience the cinematic configurator in real-time.

Once the desired specifications have been reached, customers can access a personalized interactive microsite featuring auto-generated images and videos of their chosen vehicle, ready to be shared on social media.
