Mitsubishi XFC Concept Continues to be Tried for Trials


The presence of the latest Sport Utility Vehicle style car or Compact SUV from Mitsubishi is getting closer. Yes, the Mitsubishi XFC Concept is rumored to be introduced in Indonesia this year as well.

Various Mitsubishi preparations are underway. Even some time ago, the figure of a car suspected of being the XFC Concept was included in the table of contents of the Official Industrial Design News of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (HAM) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI).

In addition to registering patents regarding the design, launching Wapcar, Thursday (11/05/2023) a car that is suspected of being a mass production version of the XFC Concept is also being tested in an industrial area in Binh Duong, Vietnam, where the area is close to the Mitsubishi factory in that country.

Yes, this is not the first time the XFC Concept has been tested. However, it should be noted that one of the reasons the car was tested in Vietnam cannot be separated from the first time the car was shown globally, namely at the Vietnam Motor Show 2022.

Mitsubishi XFC Concept Design Leaks Production Version

Regarding the XFC Concept that can be seen on the streets, at first glance, its dimensions are not much different from the concept that appeared at IIMS 2023. However, from the photos that are circulating, the car is still covered in camouflage stickers.

Even though it still looks vague, from its appearance there are indeed a number of things in common, such as the large trapezoidal front grille, plus the LED DRL tips that light up.

On the side, the wheels, especially the wheels, have five spokes, then the door handles are not attached to the C pillar like the HRV and Nissan Juke. In addition, the car body also has several clear lines that flow from front to back.

At the rear, this car also has T-shaped LED lights, then a slightly rounded bumper design, then there is also a hanging spoiler and there is also a shark fin antenna.

Said the Boss of Mitsubishi Indonesia

Previously, President Director of PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) Atsushi Kurita, who had just become the top leader of Mitsubishi in the country, ensured that the XFC Concept would be present in the 2023 fiscal year.

"It will be very interesting to introduce this new friend to the Indonesian market because I am sure this model will have a similar appearance to the concept car," said Kurita at the time.

Investigating the XFC Concept is predicted to be present at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

Meanwhile, Tetsuhiro Tsuchida, Director of Sales & Marketing Division of MMKSI, did not deny that the XFC Concept model, which will be introduced this year for mass production, will use another name.

"The shape is not much different, almost similar," said Tsuchida who is fluent in Indonesian.
