The Honda Brio 2023 is the first facelift model from the second generation Brio which was launched in 2018. Because it is only a facelift, aka minor change, the changes made by PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) for the latest Brio are not significant.
"We believe that with an increasingly sporty and stylish exterior and interior design, more complete features, and supported by the largest engine in its class, fuel efficiency and affordable prices, the Honda Brio will continue to be the car of choice that gives pride to every owner. " said Yusak Billy, Sales Marketing & Business Innovation Director of HPM in his remarks, in Jakarta, Friday (05/05/2023).
What Yusak said is true. Because by using the same platform and engine, only changes to the exterior and interior are currently the most appropriate to be offered to loyal Honda Brio customers.
So what has changed from the Honda Brio 2023 compared to the previous model? Let's review each of the variants.
Changes to the Honda Brio Satya 2023
Starting from the best-selling Brio model, namely Brio Satya. From the outside, now Brio Satya uses a honeycomb front grille with chrome accents. Then the headlights are also now integrated with LED Daytime Running Light (DRL). However, this main light still uses the halogen model and has not been converted to LED.
Continuing on to other parts, we can also see the installation of the front bumper with a brand-new design. The wheel model is also new, which is now in Two Tone color, a combination of black and polished. While on the back it is still the same as the previous Brio Satya.
The interior also feels different. Bearing in mind that previously on the Brio Satya, the upholstery, the pillars, and the ceiling were beige (light brown), now they have changed to black. The upholstery fabric motif is also different.
Meanwhile, the door lining and dashboard are given a touch of gray accents. But the steering wheel design and head unit model are still similar to their predecessors.
Differences in the Honda Brio RS 2023
Now we move on to the Brio RS variant. From the outside, this type has a much more varied composition. For example, the shape of the front grille is now new, the model is similar to the Honda WR-V and HR-V RS. Then the headlights are also new, using a stacked LED model.
Furthermore, the design of the front bumper underwent a change and was embedded with a more square shaped fog lamp but already used LEDs. Another different thing is that the outside mirror covers are now black, there is already Smart Entry, and the wheels are Dark Chrome, although the design and size are still the same as the older model.
Affairs of the cabin is also pretty much overhauled. Starting from the dashboard, the Brio RS 2023 still has an orange accent on the black dashboard, but if you pay attention, the accent now doesn't reach the front passenger's side like the previous model.
The model of the steering wheel, digital air conditioning and the shape of the transmission lever are still the same. But the head unit now has a 7-inch screen, different from the previous one, which was only 6.2 inches.
Furthermore, the RS type also now has a One Push Ignition System, so to turn on and turn off the engine, just press this red circular button. Then the meter cluster in the circle on the right of the driver is replaced with a digital MID.
